July 16, 1988: A mysterious explosion occurred in the Kanto region. The cause is still unknown.
After that, no records thought to be related to the AKIRA incident were made public until 2019, and no such incident ever occurred.
2019, unknown date and time: in an off-limits area, a juvenile T (pseudonym) was on a motorcycle rampage with a fellow biker gang when they nearly collided with a government official who was walking, and at the moment of impact, the motorcycle exploded into flames; juvenile T suffered minor injuries and the government official was unharmed. The two were later transported to other government officials. The fellow was then taken in for questioning.
Interestingly, someone who witnessed Juvenile T said they saw the exact same person in post-apocalyptic Tokyo.
